The large beach "Il Kafara" is located on the edge of Sant'Elia. Not only is it free to use, but in summer it even has a small, improvised bar. No wonder it is very popular on summer weekends.

The "Secche di Solanto" ("secche" means "shoal") is a small, free beach that is hardly known even to locals. It can be reached via a piece of land that was confiscated by the mafia and was therefore no longer used.

The Capo Zafferano lighthouse can be reached from the main road after a walk (or bike ride) of around 1 kilometre. There is plenty of free fresh air, a breathtaking sea view, lots of Mediterranean vegetation and the flying shows of seagulls.

Porticello still lives mainly from fishing and only a little from tourism. The quaint charm of a fishing harbour can therefore be felt everywhere.
