Santa Flavia in Winter

Santa Flavia in Winter

The Sicilian municipality of Santa Flavia consists of the fishing villages of Porticello and Sant'Elia, Capo Zafferano with its lighthouse, an old town with a railway station - and is free of mass tourism even in summer.

As a result, there are very few tourists in Santa Flavia in winter. Therefore, now you have to share the marvellous rocky bay and the beautiful beach of Sant'Elia only with the locals.

In winter, you will also find almost no tourists in the fishing harbour of Porticello - but lots of fresh fish straight from the fishing boats every day.

Capo Zafferano is green in winter and its lighthouse is a real "lost place". The way there is accompanied by a spectacular sea panorama.

The old town of Santa Flavia offers several holiday lettings suitable for winter use close to the train station. The old town is therefore the perfect base camp for excursions without a car.

In winter you only have to share the old town with locals. This is the perfect way to really get to know Sicily - and thus an opportunity for anyone thinking of living in Sicily.
